It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas but…it’s still ADVENT. This Sunday, the Second Sunday of Advent, we light a candle of PEACE. In its light, let us think, quietly and peacefully, about what voices of new, unimagined life are speaking in our world and in our faith community right now. — Pastor Paul Hackett COSUCC.org #Advent #Advent2017 #Hope #Peace #Joy #Love #Alpharetta #JohnsCreek #Cumming

Advent is a season of anticipation and preparation, a season of hopeful expectation of new, unimagined life! We lit a purple candle of HOPE this past Sunday, the first of Advent. Ours is a hope full of expectation, a hope that demands we work for the hoped-for things in our world. We are motivated by the fact that God brought hope into our world not by some distant providence, but by becoming human like us. Join us during Advent as we retreat from the frenzied, over-commercialization of a secular holiday season. Stop for a while and lean into the quiet. Listen to the still-speaking voice of God. Ponder the hopeful expectation of new, unimagined life! — Pastor Paul Hackett COSUCC.org #Advent #Advent2017 #Hope #Peace #Joy #Love #Alpharetta #JohnsCreek #Cumming

Plan to join our special Congregation Meeting tomorrow with consultant Gregg Carlson from the Center for Progressive Renewal (CPR). We’ll have a very abbreviated Worship Gathering starting at 11 AM and meet with Gregg after. I hope everyone will make it a point to attend! This is an important time in the life of our church. — Gavin Maguire, Church Moderator
